Take Heart – Satan Will Not Win
One has to wonder what's behind this culture war. In my book, Silence Satan: Shutting Down the Enemy's Attacks, Threats, Lies, and Accusations , I chronicle my intense experience with spiritual warfare and how the Lord led me out and into a place of victory. After this, God revealed to me the reason we struggle so much today. Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter. Technological advances allow us the opportunity to take our voices to the ends of the Earth.
In seconds, a character tweet crafted in America can inject a shot of truth and encouragement to someone in India. A YouTube video can go viral in a day. Certainly, reaching the world no longer takes much money or great ability. The effects of all of this connectedness upon today's generation are fascinating. It's made our world smaller and our voices bigger.
It's reshaped our thinking, behaviors and especially the expectations we have for our lives. In fact, it's changed our fears. Rather than fearing things such as finances or public speaking, research indicates that the greatest fear of people living today is living lives that don't make a difference. We live at a monumental moment in history.
How Satan Works to Destroy Your Faith:
Not only do we have the abilities through technology and media to reach the world, but many also have the hunger. I believe we're on the verge of a perfect storm that could accomplish the Great Commission and usher in Christ's magnificent return. And the devil is scared stiff. Scripture reveals that it's a fairly common strategy of the devil to launch culture wars in times of upcoming spiritual victory.
THE ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN
He did the same at the birth of Jesus, influencing King Herod to have all children 2 years or younger in the area of Bethlehem killed see Matt. Today, Satan perceives God is up to something on a grand scale, which puts us especially within the cross-hairs of the devil's scope. As in the days of Moses and Jesus, the devil has upped the ante and again launched a vigorous assault upon the culture.
You're in a battle for your destiny. And like any battle, the better you understand your rival, the better are your chances for victory. The Lord showed me in detail three secrets of Satan's culture-warfare strategy. He revealed that long before you and I were born, Satan devised a series of progressive events intended to destroy our generation before we even had a chance. And He instructed me, in the same way Paul instructed believers, to expose this design "so that we may not be outwitted by Satan" 2 Cor.
As we've seen, Paul prophesied that the last days would be difficult. He concluded his words with a sobering warning: They will be "overwhelmed by their sins and swayed by all kinds of desires" 2 Tim.
Luke And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. Amos I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. Romans ,5 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal….
Jude And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire? This man is like a burning stick that has been snatched from the fire. Is not this a brand plucked from the fire? Is not this man a firebrand snatched from the fire?
We have not beheld or heard Jehovah in the way that Moses did. We have, however, come to know Jehovah in ways that Moses could not. Jesus did not appear as the Messiah until nearly 1, years after Moses died. Consequently, Moses could not have known how the Law would be fulfilled in Jesus, who died to redeem humans from the terrible oppression of sin and death.
The ministry of both groups involves reflecting the glory of Jehovah not only in what they teach but also in how they live. It is our responsibility and our privilege to mirror the glory of the Most High God! Matthew Individuals of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues have enthusiastically responded to the good news and have transformed their lives in order to do the will of God.
Romans ; Revelation Like the early Christians, they cannot stop speaking about the things they have seen and heard.
Are you among them? Let us now see why that is so. Why are faith and courage required in order to take a stand for Jehovah? You know that the criminal has a powerful organization and will use every means to prevent you from exposing him. For you to bear witness against such a criminal would require courage as well as confidence that the authorities would protect you from him. We are in a similar situation. In bearing witness to Jehovah and his purposes, we testify against Satan the Devil, exposing him as a manslayer and a liar who is misleading the entire inhabited earth.
John ; Revelation To take your stand for Jehovah and against the Devil requires both faith and courage. His power is infinitely superior to that of Satan. We may be sure that Jehovah is not only able but also eager to protect us as we serve him loyally. In at least three ways. How does Satan use misguided love, and why should we choose our associates carefully? People in these last days are lovers of money, lovers of themselves, and lovers of pleasures.
They are not lovers of God. They are simply not interested in learning Bible truth. Matthew Such an attitude can be contagious, lulling us into a state of spiritual lethargy. If we allow ourselves to cultivate love for material things and the pleasures of life, our love of God will grow cold. How pleasant it is to do so! As we gather together with our spiritual brothers and sisters at our meetings and at other times, we find encouragement in their love, their faith, their joy, and their wisdom.

Such wholesome association strengthens our determination to persevere in our ministry. This tactic should come as no surprise. Mark ; Luke ; Early Christians were also objects of mockery. Acts ; Modern-day servants of Jehovah face similar abuse. To many, the message that we preach is foolishness. How has Satan used persecution to try to silence Christians?
